A common mistake is buying a carpet that is too small, which can make the room feel smaller than it actually is. Alternatively, you may have the correct size but place the carpet improperly, which can also lead to the room feeling unbalanced. Here are some simple tips and tricks to get the right size and placement in your living room, bedroom and kitchen.
Living room
In the living room, it is recommended that either the front legs of the sofa be placed on the carpet, or that the entire sofa be placed on the carpet. However, a smaller living room carpet is also possible, but in this case the sofa should not be placed on the carpet, but the carpet should be placed slightly in front of the sofa.

Bedroom
When we wake up in the morning, we love the feeling of something warm and soft against our bare feet as we get out of bed, which is why a carpet under the bed is so important. A common mistake is to place the carpet only halfway under the bed, so that your feet never touch the carpet when you get up. Ideally, your bedroom carpet should be placed under the entire bed, either all the way to the wall or by the nightstands. Note that the carpet needs to be long enough to extend well beyond the lower edge of the bed.
Kitchen
No matter what shape your dinner table is, there's one simple rule to always follow. Your kitchen carpet should be large enough for the chairs to remain on the carpet even when they are pushed out from the table. Otherwise, the carpet is too small for your table. Also, it is optimal to choose a carpet of the same shape as your dining table. A rectangular carpet for a rectangular table, a square carpet for a square table and a round carpet for a round table.
